We use a retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) approach to provide writing assistance. When processing your manuscript, the system references a curated knowledge base—your text is not used to fine tune any models—to identify patterns, themes, character development, plot structure, and other literary elements.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your privacy and the integrity of your creative work are paramount to us.

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• With service providers who help us operate our business and deliver services to you (such as cloud hosting providers, payment processors, and customer support tools)
• When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request
• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
• In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition

All third-party service providers we work with are bound by contractual obligations to keep your personal information confidential and secure.

• Your manuscript is processed solely to provide you with feedback and is not used to train or fine tune any AI models
• We implement strict access controls to ensure only authorized personnel can access your data when necessary for service provision
• Your manuscript data is stored in our secure Supabase database and encrypted both in transit and at rest
• We retain your manuscript data for as long as your account remains active or until you request deletion

We do not train on manuscripts submitted for developmental editing. Your work is stored solely for your use and will never be shared with anyone. If you delete your manuscript or close your account, we will permanently remove your data within 30 days.

Microsoft Clarity

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. At this time, Microsoft Clarity is the only analytics service we use. You can manage your preferences through your browser settings by disabling cookies or using private browsing mode.
